Think of this as real life. You are now the parent, and your child (your pet) is dependant on you to make decisions, and help them through life until they are old enough to do so on their own.
Your parent feeds you, gives you things to do, helps you become responsible, and gives you a place to stay, and keeps maintance up on all of the above as well. That's where you come in. You need to do all of those for your pet.
You need to:
- Feed your pet
- Keep your pet happy
- Keep your pet healthy
- Take your pet to school
- Take your pet to the gym and train him/her.
- Maintain income so that you can do the above things.
I will try to explain each of these, keep in mind, they may have their own little page on the side if you want to learn more about them.

| Read a book, cd, dvd, musical instrument to your pet. |
| Have the item in your inventory (Items) and click on the item. Click Use, and follow instructions for each item. That's if you want to use the item, like read the book to your pet, read the cd to your pet, play with the toy with your pet, etc. The item you use will disappear, and if it's a book, cd, dvd, etc, it will be on that pet's stats list for specific items. |
| Health is 1/4, how do I make it 4/4? |
Go to Jenoa, Healing pet, and heal your pet to complete health. That will make it 4/4. You need to do it more than once if it doesn't heal you 3 health points.

You need to keep your pet full. This is called feeding your pet, and you can find out if your pet is hungry by looking at their stats. This can be found by doing this:
At the very top of the marapets site, (make sure you bring up a new window to find this) you will see Logged in as: (Insert your name here). Click on your name. That is called your profile. It lists a bunch of things, but for right now, what we are concerned about is your pets hunger status, so click on the pet that you are questioning about. (It will list all of your pets with their picture and name.) Once you have done that, you will be brought to your pets stats. Find where it says Status. There it lists hunger. If that percentage is in green, you do not have to do anything. If it's in red, it means your pet is hungry, and therefore you need to feed him/her.
To feed your pet, buy the food that you need and then at the very top it says inventory. Click on that, and then click on the item you are wanting to feed to your pet, then click use item. Select the pet that you want to feed the item too, and click Eat (insert item name). There, your pet is fed. |
You have a responsibility to pay your own electic bill. Each electric bill is sent to you randomly. There's no way to make yourself have an electric bill (those waiting for the avatar will just have to wait).
To see if you need to pay your electic bill, go here: Explore, City, Power Station. There will be the place to pay your pill.
You have so long to pay it, and if you don't pay it, then your pet will be put in prison.
The pet which is put into prison is random, there's no telling which pet, so if you have a costume on a pet you want to keep, I advize to just pay your bill.
If you don't pay your bill and your pet is in prison: To get him/her out, go to Explore, City, Prison.
You can also have your pet be put into prison if they are caught collecting income from a job (Wannabe Hacker) or if you are caught using concoctions on your pet. The pet that will go to prison is the pet that you collect income, or use the concoction on, and it's random.

Each pet's stats are listed below:
Health : Use crystals at the gym
Magic : Do quests at the Computer Repair.
Level : Use crystals at the gym
Strength : Use crystals at the gym
Defence : Use crystals at the gym
Speed : Use crystals at the gym
Charisma : Randomly while riding Murphin Madness, training in the gym, and educating your pet in school.
1. Gym increases your pets Health, Level, Strength, Defence, Speed. You use crystals to pay for your training.
2. The Gym can be found here: Explore, Mini Pet Island, Gym. Click on the pet you wish to train, then chose a course to train in.
3. Next step is to pay for training. You can do this by using the Shop Search that is located at the top right of the marapets page, seeing if other users have crystals in their shop and buying them, or you can check trades, and auctions as well. Elger gives out crystals once you complete an Elger quest. Elger quests can be found here: Explore, Undying Woods, Haunted house. Accept quest, and make sure the quest amount you are paying to find those items are reasonable, and not too expensive. Use the marapets shop basically to get the items, but users shops will have cheap ones too sometimes. Then complete the quest, and Elger will randomly give you crystals for your hard work. Use those to then pay for your training at the gym.

1. School is found here: Explore, City, School.
2. There you can increase your pets stats in Art, Language, Geography, History, Maths, Music, Science, Sports, and randomly on Charisma.
3. Choose a pet to train, and find the items it is looking for to pay for your training. If the items are too expensive, hit cancel. In the end, it's cheaper to cancel than it is to buy outrageous priced school supplies.
4. Use my shop list to find the school supplies shop and restock there if you plan on training school a lot, it will be cheaper.

As a parent, you are responsible to put your pet to sleep. You will have one of four things to do in order to keep your pet not tired.
1. Take your pet to the hotel. Explore, City, Hotel. Put your pet into the hotel. (Cost: 500MP for one night and for any additional nights it 50mp a day.
2. Feed your pet marapops. Those can be found here: Soft Drinks
3. Put your pet to sleep in your marahome. This is the cheapest way to take care of your pets tiredness.:) Have a bed in your inventory, click use, and put it in a room in your marahome(s). Go to Home at the side bar, click marahome and room you put the bed in, then click on Put pet to sleep. Choose the pet you want to put to sleep.
4. Hydrated Water - Use on your pet and it will decrease the tiredness. Hydrated water can be found on the Shop Search. It ranges in price from 1k-2k per item.

| How do I change my pets happiness? |
| Buy an item from shop search, marapets shops, trades, and auctions. Click on the item, then click use, then choose what pet to use the toy on. |
| Does it matter which TV, Stove, Refrigerator, etc that I buy? Will different ones increase stats faster? |
| Nope. It doesn't matter what color, shape, how much you spend on the item to help your pet. It will all increase at the same percentage. |
